Vernon Jones

Vernon Jones is a former Democrat-turned-Republican, having served in both Georgia’s House of Representatives and General Assembly over three decades. He was the chief executive officer of DeKalb County, Georgia from 2001 to 2009, and is currently the chief executive officer of Henry Oliver Company, a consultancy firm which specialises in government relations.
Jones left the Democratic Party in 2021, describing America as having been dragged ‘too far to the left’. In 2022, he was endorsed by President Donald J. Trump as a Republican candidate for Georgia’s 10th Congressional District.
